There are many other blends that have a stronger cherry taste than this, but it's designed to be moderate. It's pleasant to taste and to smell, but if you puff beyond a moderate rate, it gets hot tasting and will bite. Well, actually, it can bite a moderate puffer, too. It won't ghost your pipe, and there's not much nicotine in it. The tobacco taste is very light: a drop of honey and some grass from the Virginia. Has no chemical flavor, but is just a little syrupy in the last third of the smoke, which can spoil the after taste. Will leave some moisture in the bowl, but requires few relights. An all day smoke.

Unevenly cut and moist presentation.
A pleasant cherry scent will keep companions happy, while the smoker fights through a cheap, cough syrup fake cherry anesthetic that numbs the palate to anything the tobacco may have to offer. The aftertaste will stay with you for a day, as will the nicotine hangover.

This is based on 2 ounces bought and smoked many moons ago, so unless the blend has changed appreciably, I would consider my memory valid. Why valid, you ask? Your memory hasn't rusted over these many years? Well, I remember this so well because it was traumatizingly bad. The generally golden blonde ribbon cut is heavily addled with bad cherry cough syrup like topping. The tobacco took several weeks to dry out appreciably. There is no true tobacco flavor, rather a steaming hot ammoniacal mess that bites like hell. I would not recommend this even to the most die hard of aro lovers. New smokers would be advised to steer clear as well, as it would be terrible to have the experience ruined by bad tobacco.

Another example of TBI trying to attract Captain Black smokers to their mall shops. As I recall, it smoked extremely hot and tasted like a red lollipop. I tried it only once despite some prodding from the boss.
