Sutliff Tobacco Company Taste of Summer
(2.56)
This delicious mixture of burley, Virginia, and black cavendish is reminiscent of incredibly juicy, ripe peaches of summers past.

The smell of peaches was very strong when I first opened the tin. However, the peach taste is not as strong as the tin aroma. The Virginia and burley are mildly noticeable; a little grass, citrus, nuts, and molasses. I barely observe the black cavendish. Has very little nicotine. Won't bite or get harsh. It burns cool and clean at a moderate pace with a consistent, though hardly complex flavor as the peach dominates the tobaccos. leaves little moisture in the bowl, and needs an average number of relights. A comfortable all day smoke with a pleasant after taste and room note.

Sutliff Tobacco Company - Taste Of Summer (Sutliff Private Stock).
The blend includes slightly less black Cavendish than Virginia and Burley. The roomy tin's allowed the tobacco to breathe somewhat and achieve good hydration.
I never expected to like this, peaches often turn me off in a tobacco. The peaches take the lead, unequivocally, but there's the suggestion of a further topping: a honey sweetness. As expected, from the appearance, the smoke from T.o.S. is devoid of a sticky black Cavendish trait: it adds a vanilla-creaminess, but in no way does it taste like the archetypal aromatic. The Burley and Virginia take credit for far more of the smoke: sweet-nuts and grass. The burn from it's good, requiring little attention.
Nicotine: mild. Room-note: nice.
Taste of Summer? Although it's a pleasant surprise how much I like it I'll refrain from awarding four stars as there's a lot of aromatics I enjoy more.
Recommended.
P.S. Merry Christmas to the whole community.

Let me start by saying this is my first review. Please keep that in mind. First of all, I am, prone to aromatics, and I very much like this brand. The Taste of Summer came out of the tin reasonably well dry. I smoked this out of a Savinelli balsa system, a Peterson System, and a churchwarden. The smoke was cool, though somewhat wet. I did not get any tongue bite, and I found the peach flavor to be present and noticeable. As far as the room note, I generally cannot tell when I am smoking, but with this particular blend, I could definitely taste and smell the peaches. In my opinion, it is a smooth, tasty smoke good for afternoons and evenings.

A very pleasant peach tobacco that rises above so many other peach blends. Great tin note. The peach does not completely take over the smoke, but it is the dominant feature. Lit and burned well. No bite.

Very pleasant aromatic. Burns well, not goopy like similar blends. Very consistent flavor throughout the bowl. Some have said peach cobbler but I think more fresh ripe peaches. Room note is wonderful while the drug does not over power the tobacco. Mild and flavorful and a overall good change of pace aromatic

This is a decent aromatic. A little wet when fresh, this blend has a mild aromatic flavoring of peach. The natural tobacco flavors are present, but the over all aromatic-quality (PG) leaves a plastic taste that reminds you that this is an aromatic. That said, this is pretty good for what it is. You get the peach taste in the flavor, as well as a bit of nuttiness. Very mild, with a decent room note. It can bite if pushed too hard, but is otherwise pretty smooth and cool...

This is one of the first tobacco blends that got me really into the pipe hobby. This stuff is good. It has a nice peach flavor to it, it burns good, may need a little drying time. All in all it is a good all day smoke especially during the warmer months. I will probably always have a tin of this on hand to enjoy from time to time.

I like both aromatics and english but tilt more to aromatics.Ive been looking lately for a good peach. So when I saw this at my local B&M I snatched it right up. Opening the tin I was overwhelmed by how good it smelled. It was like opening a can of peaches Im not kidding.I was hoping the taste matched the smell. On a scale of 1-5 Id say the smell was a 5 very very strong peach smell...taste 2.NOT because it was bad on the contrary it was a very pleasant smoke. But the peach flavor was extremely mild.I was simply disappointed since I was looking for super sweet. But sweet tooth disappointment aside,it realy is a very very nice smoke. If you want a aromatic that isnt to sweet but still has a nice taste this one fits that bill.
