Taste like Butterbeer for any universal fans out there. A nice warm butterscotch from the charing light till about half way. The nuttiness really comes through at the bottom. Great smoke on a cold night

This is a review of the Bulk version. I have heard that the tin is different from the bulk. The pouch note is sweet and woodsy. The moisture level was fine and there is a dark chocolate kind of tone to it. Admittedly, I have had nither Irish Mist nor Frangelico. The taste, to me, is that of honey and wood. Almost all blends that pass themselves of as nutty seem to be more wood-like. The Cavendish balances things out without turning this into another Black Cavendish blend. It lights well and stays lit. The taste is the same until you reach the last third of he smoke. The sweetness takes a back seat and the Burley comes forward. There is plenty of smoke and the nicotine level is low. The wife says she smells something like cigarettes in it, but she will tolerate it well enough. The ash is fine This will not ghost your pipe and there is really no after-taste. I would recommend this tobacco to someone who has only smoked aromatics and wants to transition slowly. I think it is to flavored to win the approval of an English or pure Virginia smoker. Finally, the last third of the bowl does pair well with coffee.

It's a pretty good blend. Kind of sweet nutty flavour, no nasty tastes, no bite. Slight bit of nicotine hit, but maybe because I had another pipe not long before it. Good room note. I'd get it again.

It's a decent tasting aromatic, but make no mistake, it is very much an aromatic and not much else. Not wet or goopy. An overall decent smoke of it's genre. Worth trying a tin if you're into aromatic tobaccos.

Everyone is an island and all that, but honestly, this is a fine aromatic. If you are not an aromatic piper then please, don’t review an aromatic.

This is a seriously hazelnut forward, nutty forward blend. It is very pleasant as a room note, and is tasty. It is not terribly complicated but uses the burley base well. If I had to choose a best in class aromatic, I’d go with Connossieur’s Choice or Autuum Evening, but this is good stuff, and if you are an aromatic fan, there is nothing not to like a lot.

This is heavy aromatic, so I did not know what to expect because it is always tricky and tastes differs, but this tobacco blend is truly exceptional to me, and here are some compelling reasons why I highly recommend it:

Delightful Aroma: From the moment you crack open the tin, you're greeted with a warm and inviting aroma of rich, nutty notes combined with a hint of Irish cream. It's an olfactory delight that sets the stage for a wonderful smoking experience, but of course, smell of tin is not always (or rarely is) what you end up smoking.

Perfect Moisture Content: The Nutty Irishman blend arrives at just the right moisture level, allowing for easy packing and lighting. This attention to detail ensures a consistent and smooth burn. It is wet, but needs no special dry. It will crack like moist cigarette in your bowl but it will not bite or gurgle! That is, if you smoke it at regular pace. Maybe you will have to relighted it two or three times.

This blend expertly combines nutty Burley and Cavendish tobaccos with a strong infusion of Irish cream flavoring. The result is a balanced and complex flavor profile that's both comforting and intriguing, but with very strong nut flavor. Like you smoke Kahlua or Baileys:)

It's a mild to medium-bodied blend, making it accessible to a wide range of pipe enthusiasts. The flavors can be overpowering, so maybe not an all-day smoke.

The Nutty Irishman's room note is delightful and sure to be well-received by those around you. It leaves a pleasant, lingering aroma that adds to the overall enjoyment of the smoking experience.
Whether you're relaxing with a book, enjoying a quiet evening, or in the company of friends, this tobacco is a versatile companion. It pairs well with a variety of beverages, from coffee over Baileys to whiskey.

Cornel & Diehl has a reputation for producing high-quality tobacco blends, and the Nutty Irishman is no exception. You can trust that each tin maintains the same level of excellence.

The tin itself is beautifully but modestly designed, and it effectively preserves the freshness of the tobacco. It's a testament to the brand's commitment to aesthetics and functionality.

In conclusion, the Nutty Irishman pipe tobacco blend from Cornel & Diehl is an unusual gem in the world of pipe smoking. It offers a harmonious marriage of flavors, a delightful aroma, and a consistently high level of quality. It embodies the artistry and craftsmanship that Cornel & Diehl is known for, and it's sure to become a beloved favorite in your collection. Cheers to an enjoyable and flavorful very aromatic but no tounge bite smoke with the Nutty Irishman!

Nice aroma and smooth creamy flavors at smoke. The cream and the nuts are there, together with some liquor but not strong. Nice and mild smoke, not complex but with different aromas and fires very well.

This is not a top tier aromatic, but it is an incredibly solid choice. Smooth as silk straight out of the tin, and no chance of tongue bite. This is easily an all day smoke. It is unimposing with a gentle nutty flavour that persists to the bottom of the bowl with the help of burley. As someone who loves to puff all day, I enjoy having a jar of this around between stronger blends. There are more complicated and flavourful aromatics, but this one does the trick if you like nutty flavours that aren't overly sweet.

I am tempted to generously give this a higher rating, based on my personal taste. This wins me over because I don't have much of a sweet tooth. I love the hazelnut/burley forward taste. However, there are aromatics in a different league than this.

Final Verdict: 3/4 this is a great workhorse tobacco.
