This is based on a open 30 yr old tin I thought was empty. It was on display and open I had to refresh it for about a week. Anyway I found this to have a deep flavor with a slight cigar aroma. To me it smokes great, I'm finishing it as I type. It has a great ash and I'm smoking it in a Pipeworks full bent freehand. I must say this is a great trip and I have maybe two more bowls left :(..........but I really enjoy it. Wish I could get more!
UPDATE: 6/22/13.... Now I'm smoking it in a Savinelli Alligator #804 Canadian. I must say that this Virginia Flake after all this time is still Fantastic! I would never have thought that this would come back so well after all this time. It still has a nice clean Virginia flavor, it hasn't lost anything WOW!!!
Maybe!!!! a 1/2 a bowl left in the tin to smoke and then sadly it will be gone. I have really enjoyed this tobacco.......Thanks again for the memories.....right now it's the early 80's and I'm in California at a pipe club meeting!..... ..........LOL 🙂
