BTW, contrary to a below review stating this is an all Virginia blend, my recent tins state: A Danish style ready rubbed blend of Virginia,Burley and Black Cavendish...
This is a very interesting aromatic blend. I am smoking this blend as I write this review and have finished most of the 50 gram tin. I purchased this from Smokingpipes.com after reading the tin description: A classic Danish Pipe mixture with smooth vanilla and cream candy aroma.
This mixture is a very European Aromatic, not overly moist or goopy in the least. A light brown Danish Cavendish, not the black lane stuff in your tobacconists jar, this has a Candy Corn aroma essentially a vanilla brown sugar scent and taste but nowhere near overwhelming. The more I smoke of this the more it has grown on me. I am truly surprised there are not more reviews for this as the price is right at $8 or so, it doesn't bite, has a decent nicotine hit and a lovely room note. What's not to like? I wish Macbaren made blends like this since I love their aromatics top notes but cannot stand the bite and heat of which this has none..
*** As a side note I've noticed reviewers are putting their age under "age" in the reviewer section. Just makes me laugh seeing a 69 year old tobacco 🙂 ***

Dan Tobacco - Holmer Knudsen's.
The blend is coarse: some big leaves, ribbons, square pieces, and broken flakes. The aroma's sweet, and the moisture in my tin was decent; good for imminent smoking, albeit, maybe too dry for long-term storage.
At first the sweetness monopolizes the smoke, being crisp and clean. It takes until the burn's settled for the vanilla-cream to catch up, and when it does it results in a thick, delicious, smoke. I can see how it may overpower a few folks, but I find it superb! It tastes like very sweet vanilla-custard. Because the tobacco is straight Virginia it gets somewhat lost behind the heavy casing, and gives very little flavour. But, makes a pleasant change to the heavy black cavendish aromatics. It burns slow and even, giving a cool, bite-free, smoke.
Nicotine: mild. Room-note: nice.
Holmer Knudsen is a four star aromatic:
Highly recommended.

This was a pleasant surprise for me. Upon opening the tin I was greeted with nice large chunks of cake tobacco that needed a tad of rubbing out, as well as a delicious, classic aroma. You can tell this is great quality tobacco, as the leaves are nice and it is without sticks and twigs. When smoking it has a nice light tobacco flavor that comes through the delicious aromas of the smoke. Stays lit well and has a near perfect moisture level directly from the tin... can maybe stand to be in a pouch a day or two or on a tray for 15 minutes before smoking, but I don't think you will suffer if you don't. The room note is nice and leaves my pipe smelling nice as well without any harshness.
