E. A. Carey Imported Light Vanilla
(1.75)
An exceptionally mild combination of Danish vanilla and genuine vanilla extract that is married in an aged Burley base. A wonderful all-day smoke. This pipe tobacco blend is ideal for the first-time pipesmoker or those with sensitive tongues. Our most popular blond tobacco blend. From Denmark.

Lets say its good for for first timers and free. I would not buy this one. I got a bit free with a pipe I bought from EA Carey Love the pipe this blend had a good smell out of the pouch and it is wet. The cut is not so bad some really long ribbon. Room note is good but also a little over sweet. the taste is OK but the term light in the name is true it is so light very very light and can get odd after a long bowl. I would not smoke this in a jumbo mostly small pipes around frinds who will not enjoy my strong blends and want a nice light airy smell EA Carey sales a supper small pipe they say is like a 20 min smoker this would be good in it

For all intents and purposes an average to middling light vanilla blend - not extraordinary, not offensive to the senses. A passable and pleasing flavour of vanilla extract if you puff lightly from the stem, otherwise it can get soupy and acidic quickly. Like the manufacturer's description attests it could be a nice choice for the introductory pipe smoker.
Much prefer my sweet aro mixtures with a little more bounce. Also detected that this E.A. Carey number (and a bunch of them such as 831.07 Black Rashberry are excellent for the price) gets a wee bit better after succesive smokes allowing the flavour to integrate itself into the briar bowl and shank. I'm sure this one will taste great after about 100 successive smokes in the same bowl allowing for some healthy cake buildup. We'll see...two ** stars for now. Happy hunting ...

Have a very dificult time keeping this blend lit because of its cut. It is also dificult to load your bowl with it. You really have to remove it from the packaging & rub it out a great deal so that it doesn't clog up your pipe while smoking it. I didn't detect much of a taste or a room note at all with this blend. I am sure others might find it great or better than I did & I certainly hope they do. I really have a hard time knocking the Carey blends as I believe for the most part they do a great job & I enjoy a great deal of their blends. However this isn't one for me.
