This is a nice blend indeed, even tho far from being as outstanding as the other reviews may suggest.
The tin note, taste and room note are nice and very tasty. The pistachio aroma is way in the foreground and covers almost all of the tobaccos flavours. But in a nice way, please keep in mind this *is* a heavy aromatic and to be expected of.
The aroma slowly wears off around half of the bowl and leaves only hot air in the last quater. In addition you get the artificial component that is typical for all Planta blends, even the excellent ones.
Also you have to take care of your puffing rhythm or the aroma quickly turns to ugly (funnily the room note as well) and it will start to bite your tongue.
All this does sound worse than it actually is. I *do* recommend this blend if you are into heavy aromatics and have not sampled it yet. But in the end it does not offer anything special or unique to the market, it is just another blend one can but does not *have* to smoke. And that's the reason for this so lala review.

Very fragrant blend this, predominately darkish brown with black flecks here and there (the cavendish probably).
Quite a coarse cut and I've found big lumps of something in the mix. Some of these don't burn, either. Some will 'unwrap', some won't. The big black lumps definitely won't, so best discard those.
I had a 50g pouch of this blend and could use it straight away with no drying out. Amazing waft of something sweet and flavourful, but with a firm base of virginia underneath. Reminds me of a stronger version of Davidoff's blue or maybe a MacBaren's seven seas, but a bit classier.
It's an excellent mix and burns slowly and evenly. The flavour remains throughout the smoke, BUT smoking half a bowl and coming back to it does not work. I found you need to smoke the whole bowl all in one go or repack/refill each time. Otherwise it could be just any old tobacco moudering in a pipe.
The taste as I said, has a classy overtone to it, one which probably pushes it above the ruck of other aromatics (of which there are many). Berries, I'd say, mixed with a touch of honey. Not so sure about pistaccio nectar and chocolate, but then, as I always say in my defence, my taste buds are irreperably damaged.
It holds its taste as you progress through the pouch (I actually decanted it into a jar) and retains its moisture well. It does start to lose it's flavour towards the end though. Room note ? Not a murmor from Mrs RW, which I have to say, surprised me. But there it is, maybe she's smelt so many blends at the hands of RW maybe she is immune now.
A Highly rated aromatic then, just nudging above the others in the field for various reasons. I think a full 4 stars is pushing it a bit though.
