Again, like Jock, I was skeptical of our SA blends but this one also surprised me. Good honest unadultered tobacco.
In the bag: a fresh earthy (typical South African blends) aroma with clear notes of dried fruit / peaches. A nutty flavour was also slightly present.
At first light the peaches / dried fruit was evident and as it fades away, the plain earthy tobacco with a slight nuttiness remains.
Throughout the bowl, this earthy genuine tobacco remains and leaves you with a pleasant smoke.

I'm not one to pick up on different tastes/flavours within a blend but the Fox has just enough of a sweetness to break the plain tobacco taste (I prefer my tobacco to taste like tobacco).
The aftertaste is very pleasant and leaves the room with an old-worldly smell.
It does lack some strength but I suspect that this is just a personal preference.
I did have some issues with keeping the bowl lit but this can be rectified by leaving out a bowl-full to dry for a few minutes.
Overall, this is a good daily tobacco (like Jock) and can be smoked any time, anywhere.

Alright so while on my piping journey I noticed this at the counter on my way out of my local supermarket... I purchased a 100g bag.
This is a typical African tobacco and at the risk of sounding unpatriotic, I won’t be buying it again. But let’s be fair... I prefer aromatic tobaccos. It is a good tobacco and I am sure that many pipers will adore it! Your partner will not be impressed if you smoke this indoors, this is a tobacco to be enjoyed outside. This tobacco gives you a nicotine fix for sure. If you smoke too fast you are going to get bitten on your tongue!
I don’t personally love it ... but if this type of tobacco is your scene please support the South African Tobacco industry and try it!
P.S Once mixed with rum and maple it became a little bit more tolerable - but I still prefer rum and maple on its own.
Final words after my ramblings: Four stars to be fair-I don’t love it, but you might!
