Im a tool yes for using a Nougat pipe for a nougat tobacco, sue me. I am in general not a fan of heavily flavored or aromatic tobaccos, they tend to leave a coated feeling that I cant move past.
But this blend is the opposite. You get the flavor through and through. It doesn't fade, it doesn't really build from the bowls I've smoked. It stays steady and lasts, enjoyable from the first to last puff. It is very sweet so if that is not your thing, dont bother, But it truly does taste like smoking Nougat, half my life as a chef and baker has taught me that flavor. I love it. comforting and soothing when relaxed and invigorating when on the go. Something I will relish for a long time.

The very rich toffee and cream provide much of what you will taste. There’s a light chocolate that lays under the other toppings. They sublimate the tobaccos to fair extent, though you'll notice them just a tad more in the last third of the smoke. The black cavendish acts as a sweet smoothing base for the other components. The gold Virginia have a little grass, and some citrus, though the citrus doesn’t peek out too often. The burley is hardly noticeable. The nicotine level is a little past the mild threshold. Won’t bite or get harsh. Burns at a moderate rate if you give it a light dry time; cool, clean with a silky, creamy sweetness that never weakens. Leaves some moisture in the bowl, but avoids goop and dottle. Has a very pleasant, lingering after taste and room note. This aromatic is made for beginners and experienced smokers.

Gawith Hoggarth - Kentucky Nougat.
This has a very sweet unlit aroma to it where you can identify the added aromatics. Moistness is good, making it quite easy to light up. The smoke from this has a very toffee/cream like flavour to it which I find lovely as its easily recognizable but not too heavy for my tastes and it also allows for the Cavendish/Virginia's to be detected. Nicotine content is fairly light and it gives no tongue bite whatsoever. The toffee/cream flavour does not seem to dissipate any as the bowl burns on. The room note with this one is nothing to shout home about as it is a fairly standard Virginia with only a very slight sweetness to it but still not at all unpleasant.
It will suit those of us who are new to aromatics as it is not overpowering or it would be good for beginners.

It has been many years since I smoked Kentucky Nougat. I guess it is still being made. I picked up about a dozen G&H blends from a UK website back before the English government threatened tobacco sellers with everything but death if they shipped tobacco overseas. This was one of the lightest (Nicotine wise) G&H blends that I ever smoked - and a top of the line natural aromatic that reminded me of Hazelnut coffee as I smoked. Each puff was sweet and delicious. The Virginia leaf was quality all the way and lightly toasted. After smoking my two ounces in the same pipe, I got the same effect smoking just about any other blend in that same pipe for the next two years. Yes, this blend leaves its mark wherever it goes.

Never before have I had to stop smoking a tobacco mid-bowl because it was so unpleasant! The smell of the fresh tobacco itself is appealing-reminiscent of cream soda and rather pleasant but once lit in a pipe the taste is really disappointing. If I had to describe it I would say a mix between pot pourri and baby powder with the occasional sour kick. The smoke itself was mild and thin- too mild (coming from someone who favours mild tobacco). I tried hard to like this tobacco but as mentioned I stopped well before the bowl was done- testament to the truly appalling flavour. I am in the uk where tobacco isn't cheap, so it's rare that I would abandon a fresh purchase so easily but the sheer displeasure of smoking this overcame tight budgets and has forced me to put this at the back of the shelf- fate to be determined in time!Seriously not one even worth trying to see for yourself, I would strongly encourage others to give this a miss to save time, money and foul flavour.

If you are a beginner like myself then this tobacco is ideal. It is extremely smooth, very very gentle on the palate and hasn't caused me any tongue bite yet. The Nougat is very obvious and this is an almost too sweet smoke. It does taste very much like sucking a toffee.
I think seasoned pipe smokers would find it very bland indeed, but for a beginner, particularly breaking in a new pipe, it is delicious.

Very light on the palate, yet to me the smoke/tobacco really comes through more than in other "light" aromatics. My wife complained of the smoke smelling like cigars and she normally likes my pipe smoke aroma... she's getting used to it though. 😉 I can't tell when I'm smoking it, as it has a great flavor that really comes through the smoke. Leaves a good room note in my opinion, maybe a bit stronger than some others. Doesn't bite AT ALL and burns well, I was able to get it to produce a good amount of pluming smoke.. Has a perfect moisture content and smokes superb. This is one I will keep on hand in the cellar and buy more of whenever it's available. Is it an all-day smoke? Very much so... it's an all-year smoke.

I really enjoyed this blend. An aromatic that does not bite, stays consistent throughout the bowl and needs minimal relights. Nice amount of nicotine in it as well which I have not found in many aro’s. Burns fairly clean, does leave some stickiness to the bowl afterwards. I could not dry this stuff out no matter how many days I left it out haha...
I plan on securing more to smoke again however not sure I would cellar it very hard. Great blend to mix the rotation up at times.

I don't usually like sweet or sweetish tobaccos, but this stuff is excellent. The flavour is very pleasant indeed, the aroma equally so. It's not too sweet, not cloying.
Black and light brown baccy cut mostly into small ribbons. Easy to pack in your pipe. Burns very evenly and slowly, which we all know doesn't happen too often with baccys. Very satisfying - no lingering disappointment here. I smoked it same day as purchase, a few days ago, and the subsequent days, but although initially distinctly moist the baccy still smokes very well. It also dried quite quickly in my leather baccy pouch, but isn't too dry.
Even if you don't go for anything remotely sweet, you'll still like this (he sez, in defiance of some previous reviews), and your initial impression might well be one approaching Nirvana.
I've smoked this occasionally over the last decade or more, but lately have been asking myself why on earth I haven't smoked it more. I'm sure I will buy it much more often now.
Pilgrims Shop in Canterbury (Kent) sells it loose from large tins. If you're visiting, I can recommend parking in Morrison's underground car park for free (1 1/2 hours maximum), then walk round to the shop. Takes about 7 minutes.
