Burns like blazes and bites like a badger. No whiskey taste whatsoever, a slight whiskey smell in the bag. I put the rest in a jar in the hopes that it will age well.

Like the above reviewer noted, this is an awful blend. My sample, though, had not a single taste of Whiskey. I couldn't taste anything at all but a hot smoke. I always wondered what C&D meant too, saying this blend was made from the finest Scandinavian tobaccos...not a region I think of when "finest tobaccos" are stated.

I'm sure C&D blends are made w/good quality leaf and there are more than enough blends to choose from that surely there is at least one to be found to your liking, but for me Scots Pub is not one of them. I know it's described as "very mild", but I have to say that my ratings reflect a very intolerable alcohol flavor that dominated the blend to the point that a tobacco taste was just not recognizeable. I am writing this review from a vivid memory of the one time I smoked this stuff; I picked up a coupla sample bags @ a pipe show. The aroma in the baggie was so-so, but I tried this on a trip out doing errands & upon first lighting it that flavor was THERE, and it stayed THERE. Way too much Scotch whiskey I guess. It was hot and ashy tasting and I couldn't wait to get where I was going so I could empty my pipe; I didn't want the smell in my truck or my pipe any more than it already was. This is one of only two bowls of tobak that I can remember emptying after about 2-3 minutes. No way was I gonna even try to smoke that bowl. I made sure that pipe was thoroughly cleaned when I got back home, and the rest of the sample found the trash can. I really don't like to be harsh or cruel, and in all fairness maybe it was a "bad batch" or something went wrong, but I'll not try it again. Sorry C&D, it didn't work for me.
