Maybe the most recommended blend for a beginner ...You like chocolate? ... get it and get started your pipe journey. No bit, excellent tin and room note , smoke easy always ready to go, good aromatic, starters will love it.Chocolate and maybe a touch of vanilla at the back...at the end ...It's full choco flavor it's good ,it's cheap, what more you want to give it a try,i think you will not regret it.Did i say it's highly recommended for beginners ...?

A very pleasant surprise. I detected a mild vanilla, with some fruit undertones. I bought this in bulk and the moisture level was just right. The quality of tobacco is exceptional and the casing is mild enough to allow the tobacco to rise to the top. It burned well with few relights. A mild tobacco that could easily be an all day smoke

This is a very good, extremely pleasant aromatic without being cloying. Upon opening the packet, this blend reminded me of chocolate covered raisins. Not outstanding but very enjoyable.

Very enjoyable mellow sweet smoke, i get a rum chocolate and a mild vanilla in the taste. Tobaccos arent to bad quality either. for the price of this one i think its a good aro, not my personal favorite but definitly a notch higher from other blends of this genre.

I come to review a couple of the new Mac Baren blends under the 7seas line: the Regular Blend and the Golden Blend. They have striked me much more than I expected. The GB is a mix of Virginia and Burley, non-contrasted golden colour, medium-large ribbon. The RB is a mix of golden Burley and Black Cavendish, very dark in colour with some lighter specks, broaden cut. Leaves are good quality with no sticks. Both are aromatics of the same league, the “vanilla/pastry” constituents are clearly detectable but delicate, very different from the typical Mac Baren standard. Vitamin N present in traces… Unlike any other aros, they burn surprisingly cool & smooth, and the flavour actually reflects the pouch aroma. The GB displays a more true tobacco aroma than RB, nevertheless I found myself more fascinated with the latter. In fact, the RB offers an intriguing sweet/toasty/smoky flavour which is comparable to a EM. The GB is also sweet/spicy, but in a higher scale spectrum. The quality/price factor is very remarkable. Three stars.

I like the idea of reviewing each blend on its own merit, but there is an elephant in the room with this one.

Captain Black White-1.5 ounce plastic pouch, $9-$16, 7 Seas Regular-3.5 ounce all-metal tin, $13-15

This stuff is half as expensive and twice as good as CB White. Compared to what you pay for a pouch of CB at a brick-and-mortar, 7 Seas is worth at least $30 a tin. It's smoother and more tasty although the flavoring is a little lighter. The moisture content is also better. If you are looking for your first pouch of tobacco, don't buy a pouch at all, order this. Better in every regard.

A wonderful Burley and Cavendish blend, notes of cocoa, nutty, with a pleasant sweetness, a touch of citrus in the background. Stays consistant through out the bowl. Moisture leve was excellent from the bag. Smooth and easy smoke. Throughout the bowl the flavor seemed to be very constants. I have been looking for a solid and consistant Burley/Cavendish blend and this hits the mark.

Extremely pleasant, quite sweet tobacco with a clearly noticeable vanilla. As for MacBaren, it does not bite too much. The taste does not change too much during smoking, although this does not make the tobacco boring. Definitely one of my favorite aromatics and my everyday smoke. It encouraged me to try other 7 seas series tobacco.

It's very easy to smoke and pack which makes it ideal for beginner smokers.

Room Note very pleasant (one of the few tobacco from which non-smoking friends do not escape)

EDIT: Its the same story as with 7 seas Royal Blend. After two bulks im tired, this is just too much sweet like a whole jar of nugat cream eat at once. Must say that i was also very bored smoking it at the end. I need a break, very long break. In fact im not sure if thata break will ever come to the end. And because of that im oblige to change my rating to four stars.

I've seen people saying this has notes from vanilla and chocolate, I don't perceive them, for me this is actually Coconut flavoured. Nice. Better than Royal for sure, but I prefer the Gold Blend, but this gets some points by not being that overtly sweet.
