A straight Va. I have no reason to doubt the claim that it has a mild casing, since I can't see the point of saying it isn't a straight Va if it is. But I couldn't smell or taste anything except tobacco. Maybe a light spray of a sweetener?
Clearly a dual use tobacco even tho I have the pipe version, which is a fine ribbon and not a shag. There's a fair amount of bright leaf in this blend.
It's sweet and a bit lemony and reasonably acidic. Not much else going on really. Would suit a budget pipester with little interest in nuance, or someone transitioning from cigarettes, or, most likely, the smoker who enjoys both.

Mild all-day blend. Tin note is really nice dry fruit. Straight mild Virginia, topping not detected, so if there is something added, it's extremely mild.
As the smoke reaches half the bowl, it gets a bit spicier and smokier, but overall keeps similar note.
Should be smoked slowly, otherwise can get hot, although I didn't get a bite. Perfect moisture level, ready to be packed and smoked. No thinking, one-dimensional, just a simple mildly sweet all-day smoke.

Can't find any liquor taste. May be too light for my buds. First half: malt and sweet, grassy and pastry (croissant). Some milk chocolate with nuts note. Last half: buttery and creamy with roasted herbs and toffee. An easy all-day Virginia with a very light aromatic (none for me).
Pipe Used:
Briar, meerschaum

Danish Export is about the closest smoke I can find to Export cigarettes from Canada which are 100 per cent Virginia tobacco.I also purchased a couple of ounces of Danish Import for pipes which has a much courser cut. Didn't care for it all. It had to be relit several times and had an acrid taste and smell Stick with the shag cut for RYO cigs and forget the pipe version. I find the same to be true with Five Brothers when you want a pure burley. Too sting for the pipe but an excellent RYO when you're in the mood for one of these. I can say, however, that Danish Export shag cut is excellent in blending your own pipe tobaccos as I often do. It adds that extra tanginess from the Virginias to round out your blend. For cigarettes I give this tobacco 4 stars; for pipes I give it 2.
