This smoke is quite nice. Other who gave this a negative smoke came into this thing with too many expectations and presuppositions. By itself, without any comparison, this tobacco is FANTASTIC. Hits the nail on the head. Perfect morning smoke. It’s light and mild with the perfect amount of spice and zing from the orientals and Latakia, to wake up the pallete. Virginia’s are SO sweet. Great early morning puffer and I think the quality is good as well. Light topping has to be maple. Yum!!!

This is an excellent English style pipe tobacco, similar I understand to Dunhill's Early Morning. It's a pleasant mild to medium smoke with a nice balance of Latakia with orientals and Virginias. Give it a try if you like English blends. I give it a 4.

I would say this is an excellent blend. I would call myself primarily an aromatic & virginia tobacco smoker and I don't usually care for heavy Latakia blends if that gives you an idea where I am coming from however keeping as unbiased as possible this blend is a great transitional blend maybe for an aromatic smoker wanting to trial some Latakia. Sunrise lights and smokes easily with no bite, nice sweet flavor with a pinch of Latakia in the background. From what I can tell the room note is decent. The tobacco comes at near perfect moisture and smokes down easily. Worth looking into. I have had surprisingly good luck with all the private stock blends from Sutliff which have become a nice treat.
