Boswell Pipes & Tobacco Sweet Dreams

(2.57)
Light, fresh with satisfying sweetness. Blend of fine dark Cavendish and flue-cured bright Virginias. Flavored with a sweet concoction of food flavorings that J.M. likes to experiment with. Excellent room note, you will fall in love with this one!

I will start with a query, which I will repeat for all Boswell tobaccos: Even though I have left them open for 2 months, they haven't dried out at all. This is something that scares me.

A light mixture, not heavily aromatic, but the existing sense just doesn't disperse. It reminds me of summer black cherries. It leaves a lot of moisture in the pipe, but also it easily lights up. This is a bit strange. As you can imagine the room note exquisite. It contains Black Cavendish and flue-cured bright Virginia. I want to thank, a lot, my friend “Nektarios” for gifting me these 5 Boswell tobaccos in order to try them out.

Nope. No way. Nyet. Nein.

Ordinarily, tobacco that I will not smoke on its own goes in my Frankenbacky jar. Not this one. Even the sealed baggie couldn’t contain the odor, but, fool that I am, I opened the bag. The doctor says that I will recover.

This stuff is wet. Like the House of Marker that I used to torture my pipes and me with back in school.

This stuff is replete with “nose.” Cherry, you are all saying. Maybe, but there’s more going on here. Sneaking, as Sam said of Sméagol. Doesn’t help.

I think I will take this sample with me to the beer garden and accidentally leave it on a table. I know it’s never going to burn in one of my pipes. Sorry I couldn’t leave you with a full review, but for those like me who can be put off by overdone aromatics, this would be one to avoid.

Apologies to JM and the Boswell gang. Love your pipes, love your Countryside, Northwoods, Railroad Station. Even the aromatics that I have sampled like Black Jack and Rum River are OK, but not this puppy.

Incidentally, the ratings below for Strength, Taste, and Room Note are bogus. Tobacco Reviews would not save my input with no rating entered. Just so you know…
