SHPC VR Blend
(3.67)
Simply called "VR", the monogram of Victoria Regina, Queen of England which Holmes adorned his wall with while doing a little indoor revolver practice in his rooms at Baker Street. It also stands for Virginia Rich, a pressed blend of bright, stoved and red Virginias with a touch of unflavored Cavendish and a hint of sweet and spicy Perique.

My purchase was almost completely rubbed out / broken apart with only a few discernible lumps of flake still intact in the baggie, so basically compacted, dense ribbon. Classic sweet VA roomnote. VR Blend is definitely on the sweet side - almost to a fault - another reviewer suspects brown sugar and that would not surprise me. Also some spice, but mostly just sweet and not much breadth of flavor. I smoked this very carefully indoors and I still got zapped - Holy tongue-bite Batman! Stronger nicotine than I would have expected for as gentle as the tobacco tastes. I'm glad I tried this but I won't be buying more of it. I am generally a fan of Russ but there are better VaPer flakes / cakes out there with more flavor dimension that don't singe my chops..
