John Patton Latakia Junction
(3.50)
If you're a lover of Latakia blends, you need to give this one a try. 50% Latakia, over 30% Virginas, with smaller amounts of Turkish and Cigar Leaf make this a smoky and sweet choice that is both tasty and smooth. Your destination for Latakia enjoyment should be Latakia Junction.

This was my least favorite of the John Patton blends and the only one I didn’t reorder. Sure, the cigar leaf provides an interesting undertone but I kept thinking that Maduro leaf might have worked better (for my taste) with these ingredients, or maybe Sokhoum instead of cigar leaf. There is also a hint of soapiness when being lit, but this quickly subsides.
While I worked my way through my one ounce sample I also I happened to be smoking Peretti Omega and Mac Baren Vintage Syrian during this same time period, both of which I preferred. This just isn’t as compelling as the other Patton blends, which I do highly recommend exploring.
