Jan 22, 2023 Medium Medium Medium Tolerable
The gold Virginia cavendish offers some tart and tangy citrus, vegetative grass, bread, sugar, floralness, sour lemon, mild spice, and a touch of acidity as the lead component. The matured burley provides a fair amount of earth, wood, nuts, cocoa, and toast as a supporting player. The sugary black cavendish is a couple of steps behind the burley. The smoky, woody, earthy hickory nut topping moderately tones down the tobaccos. The strength and taste levels are medium. The nic-hit is step behind that mark. Won’ bite or get harsh. Has a few small rough notes. Burns clean and a tad warm with a very consistent smoky, nutty, fruity, sweet, lightly sour flavor that translates to the fairly pleasantly lingering after taste. The room note is a little stronger. Leaves little dampness in the bowl, and requires a couple more than an average number of relights. Not quite an all day smoke. Two stars.
