Vauen - Jubilaums.
It isn't a ribbon cut, as currently stated, it's a mixture. Quite a charismatic one, at that. A high proportion of it's cut in coarse ribbons but there are coins and pieces of flake, too. These chunkier pieces appear to be Virginia but the ribbons are a 50/50 Virginia to black Cavendish split. The smell is of exotic fruit, not plums, cherries, berries, etc. My tin had great hydration when opened.
It lights with exemplary ease, and from the off is congruent to the word exotic. I get passion fruit, maybe a little mango, a slight lemon-zestiness, but not 'Western' fruit; like the aroma, no plums, cherries, berries, etc. The tobaccos are quite fairly distributed. It isn't too turgescent or heavy with black Cav, neither is it too sprightly with fresh Virginia. They share the profile nicely; the buoyant Virginia is placated, somewhat, by the creamy Cav'. I get a good burn, no bite, and a medium temperature.
Nicotine: mild. Room-note: nice.
Jubilaums? Do I like it? No. Do I think it's well made? Yes. So, being fair and forgetting my subjective opinion (LOL, I opened it by mistake!), I'll recommend it:
Three stars.
