Cornell & Diehl Black Cherry
(2.48)
The same unique wild cherry flavor used in Cherry Jubilee on an all black cavendish base. All of that sinfully rich taste, and none of the calories.

Hardly has any tobacco taste, outside of some sugar from the black cavendish. The rich, tart, sweet and rather sour black cherry topping has a little depth and barely weakens at the finish. The strength is mild, while the taste is a couple steps past that level. Barely has any nicotine. Won’t bite or get harsh, but may tingle the tongue if puffed fast. May need a moment or two of dry time. Burns a little warm and a tad slower than a moderate pace with a consistent flavor to the end, though there’s a bitter, tart, sour note or two around wrap up time. Leaves a little moisture in the bowl, and needs slightly more than an average number of relights. The after taste lightly lingers. Can be an all day smoke. One and a half stars.

In my search for the perfect cherry tobacco I come to Black Cherry in the bulk.
Black Cavendish provides a creamy smoke which is matched with a mild cherry topping. Room note is a crowd favorite but in the pipe it's very mild... The cherry note is much more natural tasting than Capt Black Cherry.
It burns great and the wife is happy when I pick this one up to smoke in the evening. Mixes well with Burley or a ribbon VA if you desire more tobacco taste

I got an ounce trial of this and thought due to the name it had to be good. Smells great in the pouch like any fruity black cavendish does, but after you light it the taste flattens out. I do enjoy this type of tobacco a lot, but this is not one of the better bulk- black- cherry cavendishes there is. Sutliff's Black Cordial, Lane's Dark Red or Peter Stokkebye's Cherry Bonbon are all much better.

Not bad,not great. Has a hint of cherry flavor and is a creamy smoke. Tastes somewhat like a weak cherry cordial.

A decent cherry tobacco in bulk. Far better than the drug store variety cherry blends and yet nowhere as good as Karl Erik Private Blend #16. It pretty dry in the bag, doesn't particularly bite and has the taste and smell of black cherry. No tobacco flavor, but perhaps it's not supposed to have any.

The last of the C&D sampler. Nothing special Black cavendish with a cherry coating. Beautiful aroma in the tin and also in the room but felt it was too mild. Burned well and not too gooey or wet. Will not go out of my way to get another tin when this is finished.

This one most folks will grow bored with quick.
While it is the mildest smoke I have ever had, it is also a bit flat. The cherry aroma is strong in the pouch. Upon lighting, it is not very detectable. This one does not ever get harsh or bitter. Just the same taste from start to finish.
If you are looking for a hardly aromatic that is super mild, this one may be your ticket.
I probably won't reorder once my sample is gone.
