Delicious and sweet. A dessert blend for sure. Honey is the driving force with smooth vanilla and carmel playing complementing roles. The taste is very similar to Sutliff Molto Dulce, but Creme Brule burns better and requires less relights and fuss. No tonge bite, slow burn and great all through the bowl.

Over the past 50 years my tobacco journey has gone from Dutch Cavendish (Douwe Egbert's Amphora Rich Aromatic), to the wiles of Lady Latakia, and now back to aromatics.

Over on the forum, I asked for my fellow piper's opinions as to what was the sweetest pipe tobacco they'd ever smoked. Consistently mentioned were Molto Dolce and Creme Brûlée.

So today I test drove Creme Brûlée. And I have to give it a thumbs up.

The tobacco is very wet and sticky in the plastic baggie. Like handling a raised glazed doughnut. But I didn't let that deter me. I filled the bowl of my Weber Virgin Deluxe 132 (Dublin), struck a match, and commenced the ritual of the sacred leaf. It took a number of relights to keep it going, but I wasn't doing anything else so striking another match wasn't onerous.

Now my old taste buds just can't pick out the nuances that so many others here can pick out. I didn't taste vanilla or caramel or honey. But I did taste a sweet creaminess that was absolutely delicious.

Some of the reviewers have slammed this blend. I think they wanted it to be something it is not. This is not a tobacco to explore the nuances of the wonderful flavors that are in tobacco, accented by a little light sweetness from the topping.

Forget all that. This is a smoke that is smoked for the topping and NOT the tobacco. If you want tobacco taste -- go elsewhere. This is not for you.

If you want a smokable doughnut, then this is your bowl of tobacco.

I wanted a smokable doughnut and so I'm very happy with Creme Brulee.

It is, though, very wet. So it is probably best to dry it out. Stuff some in your pipe before you go to bed and I'm thinking it should be fine in the morning. Ready to take the place of that calorie-laden doughnut that your waistline doesn't need. Creme Brulee will satisfy your sweet tooth and save you the calories.

Oh, if you're a nic fiend, there's none here. You can move along to the next bowl of baccy.

Creme Brulee. It's dessert and coffee break sweet roll in your pipe. Yum.

As a new pipe smoker searching for a delightful tobacco experience, I stumbled upon Sutliff Creme Brulee, and let me tell you, it's an absolute gem. This sweet aromatic blend, composed of Virginia, Burley, and Black Cavendish, offers a truly exceptional smoking experience. The addition of creamy vanilla, rich caramel, and a sweet honey-based top note creates a symphony of flavors that will captivate your senses.

One of the standout features of Sutliff Creme Brulee is its ability to deliver a delightful sweetness without overwhelming the palate. For those who prefer a milder tobacco, this blend strikes the perfect balance. The strong notes of caramel add a touch of decadence, elevating the overall experience without being overly sugary in my opinion.

As a newer pipe smoker, I found Sutliff Creme Brulee to be an excellent choice when smoking aros. Its gentle nature and pleasant aroma make it an ideal option for those who are just beginning their journey into the world of pipe tobaccos aswell. The flavors are well-rounded, allowing for an enjoyable smoke that doesn't overpower the senses.

The quality of the tobacco itself is commendable. The Virginia, Burley, and Black Cavendish tobaccos harmonize beautifully, creating a smooth and satisfying smoke. Although the tobacco seemed overly damp, the burn is even with no bite, and the room note is delightful, leaving a pleasant aroma that will surely draw compliments.

If you have a sweet tooth and a fondness for caramel, I highly recommend Sutliff Creme Brulee. Whether you're an experienced pipe smoker or just starting out, I feel this tobacco will undoubtedly please your palate.

After my initial experience, I'm planning to purchase a pound in the cellar.

In conclusion, Sutliff Creme Brulee is a true winner in the world of sweet aromatic pipe tobaccos. Don't miss out on this delectable tobacco experience.

When I opened the humidor I was greeted by the mouth-watering aroma of Rich Vanilla, Sweet Cream and delicious caramel. If this tastes as good as it smells I am in for a treat. The tobacco was moist, but not goopy as some described and I did not find it sticky either. It was moist but not overly so and I placed the tobacco on a paper towel for over an hour and enjoyed the beautiful aroma it brought to the room. The results were about perfect.

The course cut tobacco was just perfect for filling the bowl. The tobacco burned slow and it took a couple of relights to get it going but once going even at my sipping pace it only needed two more re-lights the rest of the way and that is because I am a slow smoker these days. I was pleasantly surprised after lighting for the smoke was billowing and thick, creamy and profuse.

Upon lighting the first couple of sips seemed smooth and creamy but little taste. However, the third sip there it was. A Vanilla that was not overpowering came through with a rich creamy taste, with tasty caramel and even a touch of honey. In the background was a touch of a grassy taste with a very light earthy flavor. Each flavor played off the other and it was a nice combination and very delicious. The taste stayed very consistent all through the bowl with one exception. Just before halfway down the bowl the taste of marshmallow that had been browned over a campfire appeared and complemented the assortment of flavors wonderfully. It disappeared just past halfway and the flavor remained steady the rest of the bowl. A very delicious smoke that at times made me feel I was eating instead of smoking,

The Tobacco burned evenly, steady. slowly and very, very cool which surprised me for a Aromatic. One would have to puff like a locomotive to get a bite from this. It was smooth, rich and best of all there was very little moisture in my Dr. Grabow Omega. Through the smoke there was a pleasant Vanilla and creme aftertaste in my mouth and it lasted for about 15 minutes after finishing the bowl. The room note was very, very pleasant.

This is a wonderful aromatic that not only smells great but tastes great. It is a smooth, thick creamy smoke that I enjoyed quite a bit. For those who do not like Aromatics steer clear for this is all about being a Creme Brulee not showcasing the different tobaccos. I happen to like aromatics although I think hard about them before trying them for many do bite. This is a work of art and I am giving a 4 starts out of 4 stars. Will put it in my regular rotation for it is one of the best Aros I have ever experienced. Definitely on my growing list of favorites for rotation

Beautiful gooey mess from the get go. Opening the tin you get presented with a stained, wet, mess of tobacco and a lovely sweet aroma. Once dried this is everything it promised to be. Dessert in a bowl. Nothing tobacco about it. I added a couple of pinches to another blend i've been playing with and it immediately brought out the flavours and scents that i wanted. Highly recommended for the sweet tooths.

You can really taste this aromatic blend. Super rich in caramel, vanilla and honey. Sticky to the touch but that does not affect the smoking qualities; it is not too difficult to light and keep lit. The room note is outstanding. A really nice sweet aromatic. Govern Yourself Accordingly.

This tobacco arrived moist, but I like it that way despite having more effort getting it lit. So you might give it some dry time if that is your preference. As I smoke this blend I instantly note the vanilla and caramel. Those are the two main ingredients that are readily apparent. The flavor is top notch, with no bite or harshness. No nicotine was noticed. Only a small amount of residue was left in the bowl. So don't let the "goop factor" scare you away. All in all, a great smoke all day and all night. Perhaps the best aromatic I have smoked. This might just be my all day smoke.

Highly Recommended!

As mentioned by others, think of this as a cheaper Molto Dolce. The differences are minor. I love this tobacco! Very unique, very sweet, very satisfying. Very fitting for an occasional after dinner smoke, but probably a little too sweet for an all day smoke. My wife loves the aroma. The aftertaste is great! If you are not a lover of aromatics go running and screaming on the other direction, this is not for you.

Soaking wet in the bag, leaves a brown moisture in the bag. Smell is like heaven.

Fantastic morning smoke with coffee. Smokes smooth no harshness. Flavors of vanilla, honey, burnt sugar, little tobacco flavor. Very sweet and mild tobacco. Will not leave a bad taste in your mouth for the rest of your morning. Neighbors love the smell. Extremely enjoyable.

It is soaking wet but can me smoked as is. It crackles when you light it.

* Update *

Recently I smoked a fresh batch of this to compare it to Molto Dolce. Both are exactly the same in appearance, smell, moisture content, but this does lack a bit more of that candy sweet taste at the beginning of the bowl. Other than that it’s about the same. Hour of dry time and and it even crackles when it lights. Smooth easy blend. Very very close to MD and I would be hard pressed to tell the difference after 1/4 of the bowl. I did find that after an hour of dry time MD did burn hotter and was harder to keep lit. I usually dry my MD out for 24 hours. But for this test I only did an hour. With SCB you won’t need the full 24 hours .
