Exceptionally cool smoking and a solid all day pipe choice. I particularly enjoy it when I’m looking for something mellow that I know won’t burn the tongue or leave too strong a scent after. It’s becoming my go-to choice so that I can play with others and experiment with in between.

This tobacco has an almost perfume-like quality. It's soapy, and tastes a bit like there's some ground incense or something going on. It's not entirely unpleasant, but I've had a few bowls and I'm not sure what to make of it yet. I almost threw it out, but I am intrigued enough (and out of any other tobacco) to go back and try more.
Reading some other tobacco reviews, I wonder if there's a lakeland flake in there that makes it soapy?
There's a lime-like flavor that is stronger on the sides of the tongue. Between the lime and the sour and the perfume, it makes me think of some kind of old bay after shave.
Burns cool and evenly. No pipe mess.

This has been my "every day" blend for years. It is smooth and delicious. It is very difficult to get tongue bite because it is so moist and easy smoking. I often find that a new bag has to air out for a bit in order to not have to relight a dozen times. It is a great smoke for a newbie and a nice smoke for anyone who likes aromatics. Every third or forth trip to Edward's you will find me walking out with a bag of Black Watch, always satisfied!

This a smooth, mellow aromatic...burns cool, nice aroma, very subtle sweetness...a good "all-day" smoke.
