Ripe Virginia tobaccos, Black Cavendish and toasted Cavendish are combined to create a complex, mild smoking experience. The aroma is an elegant vanilla with a hint of cherry. Toasting the Cavendish locks in the natural sweet tobacco flavor and eliminates any tongue bite. A great mild aromatic as well as a wife pleaser.
When first purchased I found it too wet to be usable. First couple of smokes resulted in an unpleasant, hot and gurgling experience. I stored it in a half-full closed glass jar with a lid tightly screwed down (but with plenty of air left). Occasionally I would open the jar and sift through it to air the tobacco evenly. Three months later I found to my surprise that this mixture improved one hundred percent. The cherry aroma now came to the front, and there was also a subtle vanilla hint without excessive cloying. Did not bite at all and was pleasantly low on nicotine. Smoking was cool and easily sustained (actually no relight was now required). Will happily buy again and will keep in a regular rotation.
Updated three months later: much improved with extra airing, burns coolly and does not bite. Rich's blends are way more civilised in that they have few additives than some big-name blends (I am looking at you, MacBaren!), they bite less while they require more careful long-term storage to control moisture content.

WOW! Now this is what an aromatic blend can be when done right. Bag note is delightful. Easy pack, easy light, maintenance-free smoke. No tongue bite at all. Tobacco-forward flavor with a hint of vanilla. I didn't get the cherry note as described which is ok by me. Room note is a dream. My wife commented on her enjoyment which is THE ULTIMATE assessment as she is a very harsh critic. Just an excellent all-day smoke I will surely order again. Highly recommended
It consists of the following elements: Virginia, black Cavendish and toasted Cavendish. This last one gives the impression to some that it has Latakia in it. It doesn't, but toasted Cavendish is the one that gives the natural sweet taste. It has a Vanilla aroma and a hint of cherry.
Very mild, without any tongue bite and a very gentle and pleasant room note. It can be smoked in the morning easily, no cough at all.
This is one of those blends where a quick sniff of the pouch is enough to tell me exactly what it's been flavoured with: cherry and vanilla. The colour's mostly medium brown, and it appears to be quite a coarse cut mix.
Catamount gives quite a soothing smoke, but can bite me a touch. For the weight of added flavouring I'm going to go out on a limb, by being the first to mark Strong; I get more cherry than I expected. A bowl of Catamount gives a very steady burn, and providing it's not chugged too hard, a relatively cool smoke; due to the bite I get, I have to sip it, thusly keeping it cool.
The room-note's a belter, and the nicotine's mild.
Even though it bites me a bit, I'm still recommending Catamount.
So someone gave me about an ounce of this. Frankly I don't particularly like cherry blends. I find they either suck in taste or bite like a Bulldog. This was a nice surprise in that it didn't bite so bad and the cherry was not overwhelming but and there is a but, it just was not my cup of tea. Let me say if your looking for a cherry blend you should really give this one a try. One of the better ones out there.
I ordered an aromatic sampler from 4Noggins, having never tried any of there products. This is my first review. The pouch note is very cherry, I didn't pick up on the vanilla. The base tobacco is high quality, it burned very well and to the bottom of the bowl with little effort. All that was left was a fine ash. If you push it too hard it might give a little bite, so sip don't gulp! The taste was pleasant, but it really doesn't stand out from the crowd. It reminded me of Prince Albert Cherry Vanilla, but Catamount is is much better. It left a somewhat unpleasant aftertaste. The room note was exceptional. This would be a good all day smoke. 3 stars...

This blend seems like Hobbit's Weed with the pleasant addition of Virginia and toasted Cavendish, but 4noggins has been able to get rid of most of the strange soapy taste that can come with cherry flavoring as well. It's really a fantastic smoke for those of us who love strongly-flavored tobacco.
Having read the reviews I decided to try this blend. It is great aromatic. This blend is lightly flavored and the tasteof the virginia comes through. The room note is great. Clean burning and complexity in a aromatic that's a winner.
The combination of vanilla and cherry casing is very well done. You can smoke this in company, you will get positive remarks on the room note. And still you taste real tobacco.
