I have about 200 blends in my cellar. This blend from South Africa falls in my Top 20.
The name "Three Quarter" originally denoted its strength, i.e. "slightly stronger than medium". I'd say the strength is about medium but the taste is quite rich and full. This ready-rubbed flake is a very natural tasting Virginia/Burley blend with hints of leather, brown sugar and spice. As a piper I love the room note and catch myself french inhaling often; for non-smokers the room note goes more in the direction of pleasant/tolerable.
The tobacco is quite moist and benefits from 20 minutes' drying time. It can bite slightly if puffed too hard, which I tend to do because I love the flavour so much! But to be honest I don't even care -- it's that good!
