Synjeco Swiss Chocolate
(3.50)
This Blend was specially made for the World Championship in Pipesmoking 2005 in Poznan (Poland). It was supposed to be a limited edition, but following many requests from our pipesmoker friends, we decide to go ahead with this Premium tobacco.
High grade Virginias with a 3% of Latakia and a chocolate aroma make this blend exclusive: it is not an english mixture, but also not an aromatic mixture... For the Connaisseur!

don't be fooled by the name, this is not a aromatic blend. swiss chocolate IMO is a mild english all day kind of a smoke. in the tin it smells like coco and raisins with no sign of latakia. the cut is mostly a ribbon with tiny flakes, like somebody rubbed the tobacco out for you. it wasn't overly damp, i didn't have to let it sit and dry, i just packed and started puffing. the synjeco site says there's less then 5% latakia in this blend, if thats the case a little goes a long way. SC tastes like a sweet mild english blend with coco that you can taste and smell. it burned cool and dry, had a decent nic kick. recommended.

I will try to compare this tobacco with the other two CHOCOLATE flake tobaccos that I have smoked.
Compared to Bob?s Chocolate Flake: Latakia is less obvious but tastes sweeter. The chocolate taste is much more obvious and nice and of course this tobacco does not have the ?soapy? taste that I feel in Bob?s. They have almost the same initial humidity, so it also needs drying. Finally this one is easier to light and smoke than Bob?s.
Compared to S.G. Chocolate Flake: Different tobaccos all the way. Synjeco is much better. Good tobacco quality in both TINS, but in Synjeco?s mixture one tastes immediately both the Latakia (3%) and the chocolate.
Generally I liked it very much. No tongue bite at all. It smokes dry to the end and it is only in the last quarter of the bowl that its taste fades a little. It also leaves a very nice aroma in the room. It is good that I have another tin until the next order arrives.
