The Virginias are dark stoved, dark and light brown, with a little bright, and are much more earthy/muddy than grassy. The sweet flavors are predominately fermented dark stewed fruits with a mild citrus and some tanginess. There is a very minor floral Lakeland essence, but it doesn’t sublimate the natural tobacco taste to any extreme, and I think it comes from the blend being in the same area with Lakeland blends rather than it being a topping. It weakens as you go along, and isn't in every puff. The twist may need some dry time no matter how you slice it. And depending on how you pack the bowl, the flavors, especially the citrus, will vary in how often you notice them. I prefer to thin cut the twist and stack them as coins, leaving a few loose stand on the top and bottom of the bowl for easier lighting, and less clog at the bottom. The tobacco strands are very thin, so I don’t recommend drying them too much. Burns slow, clean, and fairly smooth and consistent in flavor. No bite. Has a mild to moderate nic-hit. Leaves virtually no moisture in the bowl and will burn to the last molecule of tobacco. Needs a number of relights. Has a pleasant, long lived after taste. Not an all day smoke, and made for the experienced smoker.

Very nicely served pure virga. Go ahead and try it if you're a virginia lover, i recommend it highly. Basically less moisture than in SG FVF, and since i like a lot the twist format i can say, it came forward to my favourite pure va blend for now. Good choice for sure.

One of those gorgeous baccy with a “less” name but second to none. My tongue palette isn’t so educated like other Briar-Brothers but the Virginias are all of superior quality. A bit wet when cut (nonetheless it smokes very well, too), I’m used to slice paper thin coins and then crumble them in my hands. I tried piling the discs but the combustion isn’t easy and frankly, ruins the experience. Mr.Nik is medium and never overwhelming. I find it an improved version of FVF a tobacco that I love and hate at the same time. Great stuff that into a cellar becomes like a wonderful wine. For any serious Va lovers.
