If you like a sweet tobacco after a big meal, this one fits nicely. I can't smoke it to often as it is very sweet. I found that allowing it to dry for about ten minutes prior to lighting really helped. My wife likes the room note, an added bonus. My friend is just starting to smoke a pipe and he really likes this blend.

This is a good dessert tobacco. It's aroma is that of toasted marshmallow, maple syrup, and vanilla. While it does smell great, it can be a little too much if you catch my drift. It has a very sweet aroma. Smoking this all of the time though is like eating too much candy. This is a nice sweet treat, but not an all day smoke. I ordered a pound of this, smoked it steady for two weeks { about 3 to 4 bowls a day } and I've had enough! For all you aromatic lovers out there, you'll love this blend. Im going to stick with mild burley blends from now on like Prince Albert and Carter Hall. Heavy aromatics are sickening after awile and you really have to keep up on your pipe cleaning and sweetening.

I enjoy this blend. Sweet but pleasing. Burns exceptional well. I am very impressed with the selections from Milan and will be purchasing more blends from them soon. All aromatic smokers should try this blend, it is a very well- blended tobacco and sure to make it in your rotation especially after a heavy meal. An excellent dessert smoke. On that note, I just finished up some spicy buffalo wings and finished the meal with this blend. One word: Satisfied.

This was a pleasant surprise. This aromatic is definitely an after-dinner/evening dessert pipe treat, on the sweeter side of quality aromatics, and not chemically "drug-store-fodder-nauseating" in any way. The sweetness is not cloying or excessive, but is cumulative, as it begins with the first light and lasts to the bottom of the bowl. Smooth, sweet marshmallow and toasted coconut notes make a wonderful, crowd-pleasing aroma in the room, hair and clothes, with hints of sugared vanilla and cotton candy. The slightly sweet hit in every puff is close in taste to the latter, without seeming artificial or chemically. The tobacco is very good quality, and burns down to a fine grey ash right to the bottom of the bowl, with no gurgle, wetness, goop, dottle, etc. Occasional hard puffing makes nice, rich, silky smoke billows, and it will not bite the tongue, or turn bitter anywhere along the bowl. The aftersmoke taste in the mouth is mild, pleasant natural tobacco, and does not linger excessively. This is a finely crafted occasional treat and will surely satisfy primarily the aromatic sweet-tooth. It was far better quality than anticipated. An easy three stars. Beginner puffers looking for a quality aromatic can try this without reservation and will chuck their chemically, preservative-laden drugstore tins in the fireplace after a few bowls of this quality concoction. Did I mention it is sweet in every hit and, as such, is best appreciated as an occasional treat?

Poochie's is a delightful dessert aromatic that has been blended with very apparent loving care and with top grade tobacco's much like every Milan blend I have tried. The pouch aroma is indeed marshmallows with hints of maple and vanilla, the flavor much the same with added toasty Cavendish flavors. As a Captain Black Royal alternative this excels and without the preservatives might be a step up but in the same flavorful aromatic category. No bite at all even when pushed hard.
