I don't write a lot of reviews... and I'll be the first to admit my palate is not the most refined... But this may be the single worst thing I've ever smoked. Thank goodness I used a cob. I got absolutely no real flavor from this... except something chemical. Left a terrible aftertaste in my mouth. I was gifted this from a friend on the internet. I swear the blender should pay me for even trying it. Supposedly vanilla flavored, but I got none of that. I couldn't even pick up any real tobacco taste. Just terrible in every way. Smoked outdoors so no comment on the room note... maybe that would possibly be the only redeeming thing.

I got a pouch of this mixed in with a sampler I got from Sutliff (not the Altadis sampler from years ago). I can see where Sutliff was going with this Black Cavendish, their pouched version of BCA or Captain Black Dark but it is not nearly as good as either of them. The usual hint of Chocolate, vanilla and Molasses / Karo Syrup type topping that burned warm for me even though I smoked it tenderly and really has no kick whatsoever. I would much prefer the Lane Black Cavendish to Sutliff's (must be something to do with Herman Lane's method of curing) since they have more flavor and although mild they have SOME nicotine...

This tobacco is one that I thought I would like, the tin note seemed to have some promise, but what I ended up with was a fairly bland mixture of hot burning tobacco.
