Very good for what it is.Good for a change of pace.I usually smoke full-on Virginias, burleys, kentuckys, and English.flavor is there, but light.Humidity out of the pouch is perfect.Casing is there, but not too heavy, and disappears half way through the bowl,or at least it did for me.No problem. If you smoke Gawith twist constantly, and hope for the same performance here, you will be disappointed, and may not give this a fair evaluation.Good also for beginners.

I find this tobacco too sweet for me. I have to mix it with bitter tobaccos to really enjoy it. Maybe it's because I don't eat so much sugar...

Sweet.
This might be too sweet for most, but when you crave a sweet hit, this is a cheap and easy option.
It is readily available and cheap where I live. It packs easily, lights easily, burns evenly, and you don't need sugar in your coffee if you smoke this. Effortless smoking.
I find myself comparing this blend with Erinmore Mixture every time I smoke either. Erinmore Mixture is more subtle, whereas this has a more even and consistent burn. Room note is pleasant, but it can linger.
This is one of Borkum Riff's better blends, perhaps their best. This might be the ideal choice for the pipe noob: cheap, easy to pack, light and smoke, with enough "feedback" to discourage fast puffing. Stay away if you are not a confirmed sweet-tooth.

I find the tobacco of this blend of good quality, this is a complex mixture of DFK and burley in ribbon cut, the top flavoring is mild and discrete, there is no vanilla I could detect but some floral aroma, the smoke is dry and tasty, with no bite if smoked properly, it is slightly sweet, with nice room note.
Update: the top flavoring is not vanilla, its something that I dont like, this blend is to try if you dont have any better choice.

I dont care much about Borkum Riff blends but this one stands out of the ordinary BR blends. Paired with Mac Baren Vanilla Cream, this blend provides a nice and satisfying aromatic smoke.Soft and mellow, easy to pack, does not burn hot and delivers an outstnding room note. The pouch aroma is also marvelous, maybe the best interpretation to what vanilla smells thus far. Very good if you like a mellow aromatic smoke now and then. Does not leave the pipe gooopy. Good job BR on this one.

Long ago and far away, I lived in a place with almost no access to pipe tobaccos other than this one and Borkum Riff Classic (which is worse than this). There was a time when this concoction used to be my everyday staple. So I know it well.
I'm struggling to find anything good to convey regarding this old friend of mine, in company of which I wasted so much precious moments of my youth.
Well, it's quite an uncommon iteration of the Dutch-Style-Tobaccos. It's said, somewhere in the murky depths of this mixture Marylands marry Dark Kentuckies, which is a rare combination. If that wouldn't have been printed on the pouch I'd never have guessed this mess contains any Marylands or Kentuckies.
This blend is generously sprinkled with some high-octane synthetic essence of an extraordinary lingering ability. Some of my older less smoked pipes still bear faint ghosting of it, occasionally recalling sad memories of old.
Sorry, Swedish Match, I can't wholeheartedly recommend your Mixture N8 to other people. It's only because of sentimental value I put two stars instead of the well-deserved one.

Bought in 2014 in a gas station drugstore in Switzerland, at cheap average price for common drugstore tobaccoes. At opening the scent was very good (in the aro way), but the bad news were that was not correctly sealed (tobacco everywhere in the seal means NOT sealed at all!) and so totally dry. Unsmokable. After some days wetting to save the pouch, I tryed it.
Aroma: an aro tobacco, but not really too much, pleasant sweet and nut notes, with only a very little bit of vanilla.
Taste: not really good, especially at the end of the bowl. Some biting too.
Room note: the best of this tobacco, pleasant, delicate and discrete.
Burning: at first too dry, after maybe too wet, finally ok, but it burns not well at any time...
Briars: surely not the EM dedicated, even if it does not leave a real ghost scent.
Well, this is not a fully affordable review, this tobacco, as I buyed, deserves less than 1star, but I can imagine it could be only better (a lot) if well packed and preserved... room note is pretty good, and so I'll give him one star and half, but I think I'll never buy again... Sorry.
