Cornell & Diehl Apples & Cream
(2.33)
An all black mixture of unsweetened black Cavendish and a bit of Green River Vanilla, flavored with a proprietary "cream" aromatic and an amount of apple flavoring so generous, that you might feel yourself transported to an apple pie bake-off.
The same tobaccos as Apricots & Cream, but flavored with apple brandy. The mildest apple flavor we've tried.

Cornell & Diehl - Apples & Cream.
I have a better name for this: Arrives SOAKING WET!
The mixture is jet black, and isn't only 'coarse' pieces. Sure, there are some coarse pieces, but also a lot of mid-size ribbons. The aroma from it is one of bitter, apples.
After a good airing I lit my first bowl, and although not 'all bad', it wouldn't fill an aromatic slot in my rotation. The apple flavouring seems bitter, and sour. The reason why I said it isn't 'all bad' is down to the Green River Vanilla Cavendish; this abates the alacrity of the apples, somewhat, and tones the smoke down a little. The flavour from the tobacco is your archetypal one for an aromatic: heavy, sticky, clumsy. On the more auspicious side of things is the burn: low in temperature, quite slow, giving a thick smoke that doesn't bite.
Nicotine: very mild. Room-note: pleasant.
Apples & Cream? Like I said, it isn't 'all bad', but that isn't conducive to any higher than two stars:
Somewhat recommended.

Ok, I have to admit, when I bought it, I didn't know what to expect but I kinda hoped for a "smoking an apple pie" feeling. Which I totally didn't get. The first time I tried this tobacco because of false hopes I was disappointed, on the other side it was one of the first tobacco I bought, had no experience at all, puffed like an animal and probably destroyed the experience. But I came back to it a few months later, smoking much slower, paying more attention to the packing. I like it, not crazily, but ok. It's a light smoke, refreshing. Nothing crazy in terms of taste but it goes well. I'd say that, although I didn't hate it, it grew a little boring if you compare to other much tastier blends.

A little disappointed in this blend. Its ok, a decent smoke if you have nothing better. Its an aromatic, and I favor aromatics. I like apple tobaccos, and I wanted this one to be good. But its not really. I could not detect any apple in the pouch, and when I smoked it, there was initially a nice flavor but it wasn't apple and it faded quick. Rest of the smoke was just average to me. It wasn't overly moist in the pouch and as is sometimes my custom (at my place of employment) I will load a pipe an hour or two before leaving so as to enjoy in the car on the way home. But two hours is enough to dry this tobacco to brittleness. I'll finish the pouch because its ok, but I won't be ordering it anymore. 2 stars tops

I've been looking for a good apple-flavored aromatic for years to smoke on rare occasions and had hoped to find it here. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. It's not exactly bad, but it doesn't taste or smell much at all like apple to me -- more like a generic version of Autumn Evening. Now, I'm happy smoking Autumn Evening on a regular basis but would much rather pay the dollar or two extra for a tin of it rather than smoke this. On the plus side, this blend doesn't bite and might be appreciated by diehard aromatic smokers.
