G. L. Pease Westminster
(3.34)
Westminster: The very essence of the traditional English mixture; rich, elegant, refined, and exquisitely balanced. New World red Virginias are enhanced with a gentle caress of bright leaf, then lavishly seasoned with rich oriental tobaccos and generous measures of noble Cyprus mountain latakia. Westminster is a satisfying blend, presenting layers of flavor to delight the senses and develop in the bowl. A perfect everyday English mixture. Full bodied.
Notes: Westminster was introduced in January, 2007.

Possibly the finest English/Oriental blend I?ve ever tried, but unfortunately, like most Peases, it?s more bother than it?s worth. For one thing, good luck keeping it lit. Once you do, though, you will enjoy a powerful but reserved full tobacco experience girded by rich latakia and deep Orientals. This is the most enjoyable Pease blend I?ve tried so far, but like everything he makes, the description is always more inviting than the actual smoking experience. Pease is a great writer and marketer, but when all is said and done, it?s high falutin C & D without the southern charm. This is how I remember Dunhill to be before they went EU. A fine blend, though in this vein I prefer C & D?s less aggressive, equally flavorful Yale Mixture.
