This a pretty decent smoke on its own so long as you use a small bowl. There's a slight sweetness, but the spice and dry, woodsy taste is why you want this. Great as a mixer, though it can take over a blend if you're not too careful. It's ballyhooed as mild, but you may find it a little stronger than that. The cavendish prevents this from being unpleasant as a solo performer. Has a bit of nicotine. Won't bite, but the spice will certainly dance a bit on your tongue. Burns at a reasonable pace, leaves little dampness in the bowl, and requires few relights. The after taste and room notes are strong and lasting. Four stars as a mixer.
