A very nice aromatic that is similar to 1Q . The comments and personal attacks that Mr. Morley made about the Boswell family are way out of line. As I said, this blend is similar to 1Q but the difference is 1q has a tiny bit of fire cured where BB has none. The tobaccos in Boswell's Best all show up in the smooth flavor. Sip it slow and the Virginias go magical. When I want to enjoy an aromatic I reach for this one. I like to mix Lane BS-005 with this for a real special treat.

Perfect summertime smoke! I'm a Railroad 965 - type, like my Latakia blends strong and sour. But on a hot summer day or eve, nothing beats B's Best. Now, JM knows I can't stand most of his aromatics, not because he does them poorly -- I'm sure they are the cat's meow for aromatics-lovers. I just don't like aromatics. But B's Best somehow, if you classify it as an aromatic, really is the exception. It sends me, baby! I just finished a bowl of it and need to reload.

Such a smooth blend. Very subtle hint of vanilla. Perfect for all day smoke ( If you really enjoy Aromatics). Full-bodied room note. Smokes indoors & outdoors beautifully. No tongue bite. Burns really well

Very good tobacco however if smoked to excess it will make you a little lightheaded and will cause, my opinion, strange dreams. I would recommend it if not smoked in excess,

I have been smoking pipe for the last 2 years on and off but because of this tobacco I have now become a regular to pipe smoking. So folks who don't want to go that route then please stay away from this tobacco. Being relatively new to pipe smoking I have tried fair share of aromatic tobaccos and mostly came out disappointed because of lack of flavor or because of tongue bite. But this tobacco made me really get into pipe smoking because of the amazing taste which I would say is medium vanilla/caramel flavored sweetness mixed with a nice Virginia flavor and the other reason being absolutely no tongue bite no matter how badly you pack your pipe or if you smoke it fast. So I would highly highly recommend this tobacco to folks who are really trying to enjoy pipe smoking. I think forget about other aromatics and come straight to Boswells best, you won't be disappointed.

Lovely dessert smoke - pouch smell is sweet, fruity, slightly chocolatey. Smoking it you can taste mild vanilla, and slight cocoa. The room note is really good, pleasant, and sweet. Wasn't too moist out of the bag, but I did still let it dry for a bit. Smoked to a nice ash. No bite. Good for any time of day!

Boswell makes amazing aromatics and this one is no different. The vanilla comes through in smell and taste. It is a sweet and cool smoke which I enjoy. I will order more soon.

I must agree with Pipedoctor, and state that I, too, detect a strong topnote of chocolate rather than vanilla. But it doesn't matter what you call it, this is one fine tobacco. Everyone on both ends of the pipe, the smoker and those surrounding him or her, is likely to enjoy this blend. It offends no one, and is more than likely to delight everyone. SWMBO comments that this is “wonderful,” and it's hard to imagine anyone saying anything different.

Add to that what almost everyone who comments on Boswell has stated: this company is a pleasure to deal with. When I phone in, whoever answers the phone knows who I am, what my ordering history has been, is ready to offer good and valid suggestions for pipes and tobaccos, and if you buy or don't buy, they're just as nice and friendly. Do I ever get frustrated? Yes, if I'm not at the website at the stroke of 9:30 on a Thursday (or Wednesday) morning, to find the week's offering of pipes sold out. I'm the proud owner of three Boswell pipes, and if I had 30, I'd be even happier. Somehow the Boswells produce handmade pipes that are worth far more than they charge for them (don't let them know—we don't want to see the prices go up.) and tobaccos that are at the top of an art form, again reasonably priced.
