Having never tried the original I can only review the merits of this version of London Dock. I absolutely love the use of Perique in an aromatic blend when done correctly. An example of this is in 4Noggins "Essence of Vermont" (a Maple and Perique blend). London dock offers all the sweetness and great room note that everyone that enjoys this genre expects but it also contains a good portion of Nicotine! The Turkish and Burley's play nice with the Perique to create a 4 star aromatic in my book and deserves to be tinned IMHO. Great shop, fantastic staff and a wonderful tobacco.
