Number 66 was made as sort of a cross over between the aromatic crowd and those who prefer no added flavoring. The Vanilla addition is light and an unidentifiable second flavor was added that, to me, complimented the overall presentation more than the Vanilla. The Virginia employed is solid and smooth and the Black Cavendish, with the added flavoring, still provided some backbone and depth to the smoke. Just plain good stuff!

Tin note of cloves, dirt and fruit. Tobacco is a ribbon cut of yellowish tan, brown and black. Moisture content is ok. Soms pipe smokers will want to dry it. Burns slow with a few extra relights. The strength is mild and nic is mild. Flavoring is mild to medium, with notes of allspice or cloves. I'm leaning more to allspice due to what I perceived as a nutty and spicy element. Flavoring is medium at first, then begins its decent to a background note. Taste is mild and mostly consistent, with notes of sweet dark fruit, bread, sugar, very spicy, bitter spices, slightly nutty, cinnamon, moderately savory, slight tangy citrus peel, sweet grass, mildly floral, a spicy sweet woody background note, and a very peppery retro. Flavoring is leading most of the time with Virginias and Cavendish supporting. Room note is pleasant to tolerable, and aftertaste is great.
