This blend is a contender for the most taste in a blend, and the best room note. However I have had some tubs of it that were better than others, as the almond flavoring used easily evaporates, and rapidly, if it isn't stored properly in an airtight container.
When fresh the almond is so overpowering that the cherry is a ghost, and if dried too much, you get nothing but cherry, which becomes more bitter the longer it dries.
This has some nicotine strengh to it which is surprising for these types of blend.
If you have ever smoked a rum prime time, times that taste by 100 and you have this fresh. The taste is overwhelming but in a good way. There are simply no other blends out there with this heavy of a casing on them.
Smokes great and everyone downwind will tackle you for a taste.
It has zero tobacco taste due to the strong topping and is perhaps not for everyone, but some days nothing else will do, and one needs a taste explosion on steroids. No lakeland can even boast half of this much casing.

The cherry taste overpowers the almond. There was something artificial about it, too. The gold cavendish is toasty with a touch of citrus and honey, though it much sublimated by the toppings. Hardly has any nicotine. Burns a little fast, fairly hot, but even sipping it doesn't help the flavor much. Not very wet near the end, and needs few relights. An all day smoke made by Lane.

This was the secound tobacco I ever smoked,(last fall). It smells wonderful....tasted awful. Not as bad as bad as Cube mind you, but not a good blend. I was very put off by this and tossed the bag. I am sure every pipe smoker out there has tried a cherry blend, so if you haven't, go ahead, get it over with. This is at least an inexpensive brand.

This flavor combination is revolting. Way too much almond for my tastes and far to sweet. Reminds me of those cheap, nasty Chinese Almond cookies.

Look up casing in the dictionary and there will be a picture of a pouch of Cherry Almond, whoa! I do enjoy cherry tobaccos from time to time and I enjoy Anniversary from Tinderbox, but this was too much for me. The smell in the pouch was sweet like Cherry Ambrosia from Macbaren, but the base tobacco is very plain and the cherry aroma does not translate to actual flavor, only smoke.
You could do worse than this: see Middletons Cherry; but there are much better cherry aromatics out there, even at the same store.

This was a nice gift by a nice friend. I have heard a lot about Tinderbox and was looking forward to trying this.
Made with Black Cavendish it says and upon opening I was met with a delicious Cherry aroma and a very welcoming Almond flavor. They balanced well. This seemed to be about perfect in moisture for smoking and I still let it sit on a paper towel for a half hour. The ribbon cut was perfect for loading the pipe and once lit it stayed lit. This burned fast and very warm even when sipping. While no biting happened I can see if puffed it could nip. The flavors burned very consistently till about the last 1/4 of the bowl which I will go over below. Burned to a dark ash, left no moisture in the bowl and left a sweet aftertaste of Cherry and Almond in my mouth during the smoke and for a short while after the smoke. The smoke was medium and quickly disappeared. This had a wonderfully pleasant room not of cherry and almond. This tobacco can get bitter if puffed.
Upon lighting I experienced a beautiful strong Cherry flavor with a slightly less strong, but still strong Almond Flavor. There was a slight toastiness in the background. The flavors drowned out the Tobacco taste. This was the flavor until the last 1/4 of the bowl when the Cherry greatly diminished and left the Almond flavor.
This was a pleasant smoke with three flavors. I can see it could bite but it was well done and simple in flavors. If you love Cherry or Almonds you will love this. I liked this. Very nice blend and a very nice smoke. A special occasion smoke perhaps for me. This is a fine blend but I tend to more of a Burley, English Blend sort of smoker but I recommend one give it a try. It simplicity and wonderful two leading flavors are its strengths. 3 out of 4 stars.

Here's a an AROmatic cherry blend that's not half bad. I detect amereto and cherry flavorings that seem to work together nice. The tobacco alone looks to be burley, cavendish and some black Virginia chunks. Like any sickly sweet aromatic blend, this can burn quite hot in the pipe. Overall it was a nice aromatic that is sure to please those around you. I mixed the rest I had with good ol Carter Hall and it's incredibly good now.

Good for someone who loves aromatics and cherry. Some reviewers have noted that the cherry flavor is overpowering and while it's certainly prominent in the tobacco, I can still get the almond flavor out of a smoke. The smell of the tobacco itself is amazing but unfortunately it's not as much so when lit (still pleasant). I've noticed that it sometimes has a tendency to burn hot so I make sure to smoke this with a bit more care. Pretty inexpensive and all the guys at Tinderbox are cool so it's definitely worth going down there and giving it a try!

I find this blend to be better than what some of these reviews have stated. The cherry almond flavor is occasionally quite noticeable, and it has a nice smooth aroma to it. I personally really enjoyed it, for my beginner aromatic phase anyway. If you however move on to the big English blends, you may find this a bit lacking, but it's still a good cherry aromatic.

I love the smell of cherry pipe tobacco, but this one had almost no flavor to me it smelled great in the jar and in the bag, but the smell did not transfer in to the flavor for me. I probably wil not buy this again.
