dark moist black cavendish blend which is cased with a decent refined cherry and vanilla. although the blend was kinda sticky from the pouch however it gave me no problem as far as the packing and smoking goes. the strength is mild and the taste was considerably sweet which was to my liking. the room note is acceptable by many. it behaves well in the pipe and on the tounge as far as i am concerned and a nice pace of change for aromatic smokers.

This tobacco I find quite pleasant, but not much more. Like a lot of the G&H tobaccos I buy loose, I find it very moist, but not so much to cause trouble. The cherry and vanilla is very evident when smelling the tobacco, I find it smells delicious. When smoked there is only a suggestion of the flavouring on the palatte and otherwise the taste is fairly weak. I do however feel this is a decent tobacco and would recommend it to new smokers who perhaps don't want to dive in at the deep end with stronger tobaccos.

I bought a small pouch of this tobacco when I went to see the Lace Wars re-enactment at Cromford Mill last year. Pleasant taste and smell coming from my clay pipe; one of my favourite pipe tobacco blends. Not too strong either, not like Condor!

I recently ordered some Very Cherry from Lane to make some Hobbit's Weed and decided to grab another cherry blend for scientific research. I might add, I am rethinking my cherry aversion, since this one smelled fantastic as well. Seriously delicious vanilla and cherry vapors arose from the bag. It honestly could of been candy, vanilla coke, or a ice cream soda float in the bag... it was that convincing.

The fairly sticky, mostly Cavendish blend met a brief delay during ignition, but things got rolling soon after. The noted cherry recedes somewhat, but never completely fades, as there was always more to taste than just sugary vanilla. This was a light candy infused Aromatic, so non believers beware. The flavor never became "chemicaly", nor was the Cavendish stewed into nicotine-free mush.

While I appreciated Lane's Very Cherry for it's pure cherry juice, I would rather have a bag of this stuff, as I could see myself not tiring as quickly from the topping. Get a big bag though, as another reviewer pointed out, it tends to burn quickly.

The toppings are full, yet not as overbearing as similar blends. If you are looking to have some desert without any bite, and want an upgrade to the grocery store cherry pouch, you won't go wrong here.
