This one is a bit disappointing. It's just not all that much. Very little tobacco flavor. The Cavendish provides a pleasant aromatic flavor, but that's about it. There are many mild aromatics that are far superior to this, and it's basically collecting dust in the cellar.

I really didn't get much of the chocolate out of this one. It was a solid smoking mixture that even non-aro smokers might enjoy.
Tin Note: Maybe a slight chocolatey smell but mostly just tobacco.
Taste: Mix of tobaccos without anyone jumping out at me too strongly. Very faint chocolate/cocoa in some puffs but not over done.
Burn: Good moisture, easy to pack/light. Burns great.
Not sure this one jumps out as something I'd really buy (I got a sample in my TinSociety.com box) but it is quite smokeable.

I received a tin of the Mellow Mixture in one of Pipes&Cigars battle of the blends (against their Chocolate Nut Mind Meld). I bought the pairing for the McClelland inspired blend, but thought, what the heck I was OK with the Orlik Red when I had it, so let's try a mellow version. How these two compared was beyond me. If Mellow Mixture is an aromatic, it is so mildly flavored it has no business stepping in the ring with something so overly chocolate.
On its own merits, Mellow Mixture smells like a wheat germ and stomach bile slurry, which is not to say it's a bad thing. It was just very Virginia tasting like it's Orlik Red counterpart, though as the name suggest is milder. It has a nice cut, burns well, and I had no fatigue smoking sequential bowls. The detected sweetness seemed to emanate from the natural leaf itself and not from any additives. Any specific Vanilla or Chocolate flavoring eluded me.
Both Orlik's I've tasted register a 2 star for me. This mix was an easier smoke and Red was much stronger, but had the appeal of being a flake. Either was a decent smoke depending on your craving for the moment.

Orlik - Mellow Mixture.
After sniffing the pouch many times, as well as the chocolate, I'm sure I get a sort of All Spice aroma. At first, this is how the smoke tastes: a strange spicy/herby flavour overtakes the other's. But, this doesn't last; after a very short while (only a few minutes), this calms right down and makes space for a chocolaty, nutty taste, with a gentle caramel edge.
Of the tobacco's, I find the Virginia has the least strength in flavour. This might be because the Black Cavendish and Burley are married up with the sweet, nutty topping so well.
As has been pointed out by a few fellow reviewers, the nicotine's mild. To me, it actually seems very mild.
A low point, and also the paramount reason for awarding this only two points, is the tongue bite..... ow!
I think, after a few bowls and some deliberation, from my point of view, this is worth only somewhat recommending.
Two stars.
