Well, Orlik certainly seems to have a knack for producing these somewhat 'old-fashioned', no-frills pure tobacco blends. Everton, Princeton and now Royal Club. This is a very enjoyable virginia/burley mix with the burley taking a bit more of the stage than a mere side role. Like the two aforementioned blends, it looks like honest tobacco, it smells like honest tobacco, and most important of all, it tastes like honest tobacco; a very simple and unpretentious yet very enjoyable smoking experience, and easily a daily.
Will buy again and Singleton is now certainly on my 'to-do' list.

Bet you have tried Mac Barens Virginia No.1 eh? And what happened to your tongue? For me it was like dipping it into molten solder-wire.
Then i tried this. This is a replica of VN1 but without the bite!! That is; it bites like most pure VA's but not half as much as the Mac Baren version. The flavour is the same honey-caramel as in Mac Barens.
People who liked VN1 but had to lay it off because of the burn owe it to themselves to try this little beauty.
And by the way; If you like this kind of flavouring, you should also try Singleton from Orlik. It's pure Burley with excactly the same kind of flavouring
