This was yet another try in the search for an aromatic.
When this particular blend was birthed the world saw yet another ok blend.
Purchase did confirm that magazines tobacco reviews should be reviewed themselves.

To me, Black Truffle had a perfumy, soap-ish taste that was always trying to turn fruity, but it never quite made it.
It burned cool, but that isn?t enough to make me go for any more.

When my best friend and I were about to see Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, we bought this, thinking it was something of a "hobbity" smoke. We were very excited about seeing the movie, and we had our churchwardens packed with this stuff.
It tasted interesting the first fifteen minutes, but sort of graduated to a biting, semi-bitter, semi-sour smoke. While it was decent in the beginning, like many other Stokkebye offerings, this one didn't ring my chimes. I put this in the "If I had nothing else to smoke, I would smoke this" category.
God bless you if you like it. I'm not a big fan of this blend.

I found the cut on this tobacco to be Cavendish and loose cut, as I would consider it very coarse. As a person who loves the aroma of Vanilla in a tobacco blend, who is also very bias of the aromatic mixtures that I may try this blend again sometime down the road.
I did notice the aroma of Vanilla became more predominate as the tobacco burned slowly to the bottom of the bowl. This blend has a mild taste with very little tongue bite in my opinion, although I must caution as with any aromatic blends smoking it slow is the key to an enjoyable smoke.
I would recommend this to anyone who wants to venture into the aromatic blends as it does seem to be cooler than most which IMHO contributes to the White Tennessee Burley.
Smoke it slower, enjoy it longer
