Consolidated 201: Sangria
(2.50)
Same blend and process as Wine only top dressed with the bold fruity flavor of Sangria. In essence, we have combined the richness of vintage wine with the natural sweetness of select citrus fruit flavors.

The wine/Sangria taste is tart and tangy, fruity sweet with a few sour wine notes as the lead flavor. Has some pineapple, orange and cherry in the topping. The Virginia offers tart and tangy citrus, grass, light earth and wood with a few floral and spice notes as the lead component. The brown sugary black cavendish provides some creamy sweetness as a supporting player. The strength is a couple of steps past the center of mild to medium. The taste is medium. The nic-hit is in the center of mild to medium. There’s no chance of bite or harshness, though there are a few very minute rough edges. Burns cool and clean at a moderate rate with a very consistent deeply rich tart and tangy, fruity, light bitter smoothness that translates to the pleasantly lingering after taste, and room note. Leaves little dampness in the bowl, and requires a average number of relights. An all day smoke.

I tried Sangria a while ago at a local shop.
The flavor was surprisingly good. I could taste the red wine with hints of citrus in the background. The flavoring was full without being overdone.
About halfway down the bowl the topping began to weaken, and by the end of the bowl there was a taste of tobacco.
The Virginia is never apparent, though it probably shows itself by sweetening the Black Cavendish.
Overall, a pleasant smoke. Just not something I would smoke very often. I think it would get boring after a short time.
