Deep woodsy flavor with a citrusy overtone and not too sweet-wine like in body and aroma (think Merlot). The Virginias and Burleys never overpower each other. Not for the novice or aromatic smoker. A fellow review said they found DM bland. I disagree. With this blend, one should look for the great nuasences it offers rather than firewoks. Too often aros take away from the natural flavor of the leaf. If you never smoked a "non-aromatic" ( not be confused with English which is a mix of straight tobacco w/ no flavorings-Latakia/Orientals added), then this may not be your cup of tea. Non-aromatics are lightly seasoned rather than heavily cased. If you want to venture from aromatics this is a great blend to start with. I prefer cobs over briar, but briars also give a good smoke. Behaves very well and doesn't overheat. Non-aros should be sipped. Nice find. And yes, you can use this as your "daily mixture". As always before smoking a new blend, and I'm a stickler about this, scrub your pipe out first and clean the shank chamber in between smokes with a q-tip. This will help prevent moisture build up and bite. And always remember to rotate your pipes. You'll get longer life out of them, less bite and smoother smokes.
