Ascorti Toscana
(2.50)
After a special formula cavendish, burley, Maryland and Virginia tobaccos are blended with big leaves of Carolina. The result is a taste experiencing the whole richness of contrasts in the mixture and has an exceptionally fine flavor. This is a tobacco which maintains its natural taste in every pipe. Full character and still light, pleasant for palate and tongue.

I was recently sent the full line of Ascorti tobacco blends - I don't think they are still in production and the customer who sent them to me just did not like them. I thought Toscana was unusual in the presentation of the broad cut and ribbon leaf but the flavoring added was a little off putting to me. Just not sure what it was, but did not like it. Bitter sweet banana pudding maybe? Anyway, it did have a true tobacco taste but my tongue had to reach for that.
