Ascorti Piemonte
(2.50)
A blend of light-brown burleys, high-class Virginias, Kentuckys and selected mild black cavendish. The special flavor gives this tobacco an exceptional fragrance. Mild slightly sweet.

I was recently sent the full line of the out of production Ascorti blends. He did not like them. Piemonte though, was somewhat pleasing to me. It had a real tobacco taste and a casing that actually helped the overall presentation. Sort of like smoking hay with a mysterious sweet nut bean of some sort - Vanilla maybe?

Not a bad aromatic - certainly a far cry from overly cased drugstore blends. If you are an aromatic smoker who is looking for something that is not overly sweet and clearly is a quality tobacco, give this one a try.
