W.O. Larsen Spring Meadow
(2.27)
Two parts Black Cavendish, with roasted Burley and ripe Virginia - that is the recipe for this mixture. In terms of taste, a subtle note of ginger stands out among the numerous fruity aromas, which gives this tobacco a touch of the exotic.
Notes: Formerly known as "Mellow Mixture", the name was changed in accordance to EU regulations.

The cavendish style Virginias offer a fair amount of fermented tart and tangy citrus, grass, bread, sugar, mild sour lemon, floralness, light acidity, and a pinch or two of spice. They are the lead components. The very nutty, earthy, woody burley is an important supporting player. The unsweetened black cavendish is in-between the secondary support and condiment positions. I notice the spicy ginger topping a little more than the vanilla. Both moderately sublimate the tobaccos. The strength and nic-hit are a hair short of the center of mild medium. The taste level is a step past that center. It won’t bite, but fast puffing may result in a little tongue tingle. I suggest a slow puffing cadence. Burns clean, and a tad warm at a reasonable pace with a very consistent, richly sweet, mildly spicy, sugary, lightly floral flavor that extends to the lightly lingering after taste. Leaves little dampness in the bowl, and requires an average number of relights. Has a very pleasant room note. Three stars for the flavor rounded down to two for the potential tongue tingle.
