Pipe Republic Ashford
(4.00)
We have put a lot of know-how and work into the development of our house tobaccos. The result, in our opinion, are great blends that appeal to lovers of flakes and other tobacco specialties, but also fans of flavored tobaccos. The Ashford is one such candidate. It consists essentially of Burley, Virginia and Black Cavendish. It is flavored with the aroma of prunes, vanilla and honey. It is wonderfully round and mild, while burning surprisingly even and dry. In addition to the warm and creamy flavoring, the tobacco still shines through, giving the blend depth of flavor. Our recommendation for friends of classic Danish blends.

The Ashford is an unassuming aromatic in the Danish tradition - not a flavor bomb! From the can sweetish, fruity, like a fruit tea with some vanilla sugar in the background. From the tin, the Ashford can immediately in the pipe, takes up the flame directly and then burns down without much attention and especially dry to the last gray ash. Especially the retrohale shows the soft aroma of vanilla, berry and syrup. However, the tobacco shines through again and again, no trace of acidity, bite or edges. The room note is pleasant for the surroundings and reminiscent of tobaccos from grandpa's time.
