The lightly spicy, richly sweet, slightly floral Jamaican rum topping is the star attraction. No. 515 Double Shot sports a double dose of rum to distinguish it from the original No. 515, which is the version that was actor Basil Rathbone’s blend of choice. The flue cured Virginia is hay-like, grassy, floral and lightly tart and tangy citrusy with a touch of tangy dark fruit. It takes a bare lead over the sugary, vanilla-ish black cavendish. Both varietals are in the background due to the extra rum. The strength is in the center of mild to medium. The taste is a couple of steps past that mark. Has a very mild nic-hit. There’s no chance of bite or harshness, and it has no rough edges. It burns cool and clean at a slightly slow rate with a very consistent sweet flavor that extends to the mildly lingering, pleasant after taste. The room note is very pleasant. Leaves little dampness in the bowl, and requires a couple more than an average number of relights. An all day smoke. Four stars.

If you want rum in your baccy, you want Wilke No. 515 Double Shot. This stuff is rum. And lots of it. And it is delicious.
I enjoy the taste of rum in my tobacco. The two make a great combo. But it can be poorly done. I've smoked some of those. It's why the word "yuck" was invented.
But No. 515 Double Shot? Pure delish.
If you like rum and want it in your pipe, this is one you should reach for. And the best part is -- no hangover.
