The mixture takes lift from a bed of Red Virginias and soars into a flavorful stratosphere of tangy St. James Perique, novel Katerini Perique — Oriental leaf that's undergone a lengthy barrel-aged fermentation process — and smoky Latakia to accentuate the spicier, more piquant leaves. A rich Dark-Fired Kentucky is added with a gentle hand to complete the blend, contributing further strength and balance.
