The smoky dark fired Kentucky provides plenty of earth, wood, vegetation, spice, floralness, mild sourness. light nuttiness, and a very small essence of barbecue. It is the major component. The bright Virginia offers plenty of tart and tangy citrus, grass, bread, sugar, mild floralness, sour lemon, a little spice, and a touch of acidity. It is just above being a condiment. The aspects of the cognac topping are some sugary, bitter fruit, and a light spiciness. It moderately sublimates the varietals while it synergistically helps produce a sweet and mildly sour, smoky, floral, spicy flavor that extends to the pleasantly lingering after taste. The topping lightly weakens after the half way point. The strength and taste levels are a step short of the medium mark. The nic-hit is a slot behind that level. Won’t bite or get harsh, and has few rough notes. The crumble kake easily breaks apart, and is a tad moist, but I saw no need to dry it. Burns cool, clean and slightly slow. Leaves little moisture in the bowl, and requires a few more than an average number of relights. The room note is pleasant to tolerable. Unlike many DFK dominant blends, this can be an all day smoke because of the cognac. Three and a half stars.

Sutliff - Crumble Kake Limited Edition No. 2 (Barrel Aged).
About half of the very dark kake is already broken into chunky pieces. There's a definite presence of alcohol, cognac, in the tin-note. Mt tin has a good level of hydration, so the already broken kake can be smoked imminently.
The Kentucky forms the stronger character out of the tobaccos. Fire-cured, caustic, heavy. I get a light flavour from the bright Virginias, hay, grass, but not much fruit. The cognac really sweetens the smoke. To my palate, the fruity flavour from the barrel-ageing is a little like a peach flavour. It really counteracts the weighty Kentucky, It burns well, causing no tongue-bite.
Nicotine: plenty. Room-note: a bit heavy.
Crumble Kake No. 2? Considering the cognac and nic-hit, this makes a nice change to start the day instead of something like a plain VaPer or VaBur. Three stars:
Recommended.

The mixture is moderately moist, the aroma is moderately acidic, a bit of barbecue flavor, some tart citrus, cognac dominates the scent of the can and some fruit has a sweet and sour flavor. I feel like the nicotine is a little strong
