Savinelli Juno
(3.75)
Savinelli's Juno is a delicate amalgam of stoved and unstoved Virginias, the pinnacle of leaves both red and bright.
Notes: Savinelli's Juno presents a base of stoved Red Virginia combined with bright Virginia, which is stoved yet again before adding a dash of fresh, straight red Virginia. The result is a delectably sweet mixture to satisfy the most experienced Virginia lover.

I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the Savinelli blends I’ve had this far (140th, and Brunello). Juno is a very fruity, bready VA, a style which I’m not usually a fan of. But this blend borders aromatic even though it may not be marketed that way. VA purists may be put off by this but for this reason I think it’s a great starting point Virginia for new smokers. It’s light, aromatic AB’s fun for the summer and spring.
I taste mostly peach and apricot flavors and touch of citrus in the background along with the bready sweetness of VA.
I would recommend it as a starting blend for those looking to branch into VA territory and if you like this, would encourage trying Brunello next as it has a bit more body and depth.

Tin note of ripe fig like fruit, spices, and hay. Tobacco is a Flake of marbled orangish tan, light brown and medium brown. Moisture content is great, no drying needed, and flakes rub out with a little effort. Burns slow with few relights. The strength is medium and nic is mild. No flavoring detected. Taste is medium and mostly consistent, with notes of sweet hay, spices, citrus, wood, rich earth, sweet bread, mild orange peel, sugar, acidic, savory, mildly floral, lemon grass, slight dryness, a semi-sweet tart and tangy background note, and a peppery retro. Room note is pleasant to tolerable, and aftertaste is great.
