Chacom #4

(3.64)
Chacom's #4 consists of various Virginias combined with a small portion of perique for some added strength and a touch of fruity spice. The mixture is then cold-pressed for four weeks before being cut into slices. It results in a flake tobacco that's medium in strength and rich in flavor.

Nice tidy dark flakes of Virginia tobacco, well pressed with a hint of Perique for spice. Easy to light, easy to smoke, this reminds me a little of Orlik Golden Sliced, an old favourite of mine. The flavour is bready Virginia, with a fruitiness developing through the bowl, a slightly sour prune like taste, never quite getting to be peppery.
Pipe Used: Northern Briars Liverpooll
Age When Smoked: New
